Strafford County Board of Realtors Donates to the HUB Dover: The HUB Family Resource Center recently was chosen by the Strafford County Board of Realtors (SCBR) as the recipient of donated office products and children’s items for the second quarter of 2007. The SCBR chooses four local non profit community organizations annually to focus their attention and pull resources together to provide much need supplies and products to help further the organizations community-oriented mission. The HUB Family Resource Center, a non profit organization based out of Dover, NH provides educational programs and support services to parents to enhance their ability to raise healthy kids in caring homes. The HUB, headquartered in Dover, provides programs to all families in Strafford County. In March, SCBR member Melissa Lesniak of Remax Realty Centre in Somersworth contacted Greg Burdwood, Executive Director of the HUB to explain the board’s desire to help the HUB with donated items. “I was very pleased to hear Melissa’s offer when she called. She really wanted to understand what would work for the HUB and what would make an impact for our employees and families that we work with,” said Burdwood. The SCBR worked with the wish list provided, and its members answered the call. An abundant supply of office products and children’s items were donated by members of the SCBR and immediately put to good use at the HUB. Founded in 1960 the Strafford County Board services Durham, Lee, Madbury, Dover, Rollinsford, Barrington, Rochester, Strafford, Farmington, Milton, Middleton, New Durham, Wakefield (Sanbornville), Brookfield and the surrounding areas. The mission of the Strafford County Board of Realtors is to provide its Realtor members access to resources necessary for them to ethically and effectively service consumers; maintain an environment in which members can network with other industry professionals, and provide opportunities for community service.
